WhatsApp new update (settings page) in February 2019

WhatsApp updates its Settings page with

clear data using graphs and new icons

A new update to a chat app, WhatsApp has received in its beta app to freshens up the Settings
section with an extra new look. The line that separates between most elements is eliminated.

There is a color change in icons and has replaced with new green pastel icons.

But the most important change affects the data usage screen has made now more readable.

The main settings screen gives you a preview of the coming update that includes new icons,
sub-sections below each item, and a piece of reorganization.

Left: old. Right: new.
The rest of the settings follow the old pattern. No separator lines, no more checkboxes, and no
more grey cards to detail some settings.

The notable change, that affects the data and storage usage screens, particularly the former.
Now both stats are visible right below their section title, enabling to quickly access data
how much WhatsApp has taken out of your phone's storage or your bandwidth.

Left: old. Right: new.
And last but not least, more importantly, the network usage screen has been completely revamped.
Earlier there was a list of bytes and titles that were difficult to parse, and now it's been replaced
with cute readable graphs for six types of data: calls, media, Google Drive backups, messages,
statuses, and roaming. At a glance, it can be said that Google Drive is the biggest perpetrator on
the end and that statuses, have consumed 1.2GB while being downloaded.
Yikes.

This makes the marks to first ever major revamp of WhatsApp's settings since March of 2016.
There aren't any new additions that can be spotted till now, but as we all know WhatsApp is
working on a few modern features, that includes fingerprint authentication, sticker integration
from third-party keyboards, and much more.

For now, the changes are only live in WhatsApp Beta version 2.19.45, that can be caught
from the Play Store or from APK Mirror.

It will hit the stable release of WhatsApp once it reaches above 2.19.45 version.
