Bharat Bandh- A Tribute to CRPF Martyrs





After the deadliest terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir took the lives of 40 CRPF jawans, a message gone viral on social media on Friday where it made an appeal of ‘Bharat Bandh’ to be called on Saturday.

The several trade associations in Ahmedabad, other states like Mumbai, Rajasthan, Delhi chose to participate and observe a bandh on Saturday to peacefully express their protest, paying tribute to CRPF jawans martyred in Pulwama terror attack.

According to a media report, the message reads, “One day should be in the name of martyrs of the country. Often Bandhs are observed in the name of Patels or inflation. One should support the Bandh in the name of martyrs for at least a day. Let’s observe 16th February as Bandh in the name of Martyrs.”

The CRPF salute the martyrs and send out a powerful message through his Twitter handle.

“WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE: We salute our martyrs of Pulwama attack and stand with the families of our martyr brothers. This heinous attack will be avenged, said the CRPF “


On Thursday, a bus carrying over 40 CRPF jawans, which was part of a convoy of 78 vehicles with 2,547 CRPF personnel moving from Jammu to Srinagar, was attacked by car with explosives in Pulwama district. This left many wounded and 40 CRPF jawans martyred. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammad and recognised Adil Ahmed Dar, a 20-year-old, Pulwama local suicide bomber responsible for the Fidayeen style attack.
