One Word Review: Hard, Bhut Hard

Gully Boy ka time aagaya! The Zoya Akhtar-directed first movie singing Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh together has Hard the theatres. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are flawless in this movie additionally, the soundtrack of the film does full justice - and more - to the plot.

Ever since the release of its trailer and the songs, the buzzing sound of Gully Boy has been phenomenal. The movie is based on the lives of Mumbai street rappers Naezy The Baa and Divine. Not only has it has achieved box office success but it has rule over the hearts of critics as well.

Murad- Gully boy dreams of rapping. He has his own lyrics but that requires a final layer when it comes to the rhythm. A sympathetic Murad balances a lot of things at a similar time- a passion of being a rapper, an offensive father, an unhappy mother, a plucky but needy lover, his new tutor and his best friend as well. Yet, Murad is not disappointed. He sometimes being sad and gets afraid, but always fighting for his passion. The character shows innocence, pain, happiness, discomfort, frustration without a flinch and at the next minute, he is drawing his energy at his raps.

Gully boy’s each character in the film struggles their own way to accomplish their dreams.

Alia Bhatt's as Safeena is the best newest character in current times. Heading over her heels with her boyfriend, dreams of becoming a surgeon. Her possessiveness over her boyfriend, Murad drives her into the duskiest scenes. Safeena’s role is perfectly suited for Alia Bhatt, stealing everyone’s eyes out with her cutest smile.
